VIVA VOCE TRAINING

The Clarity Lab:

Speaker & Leadership Training

A space to speak, grow, and lead with presence.

Monthly membership with weekly classes for leaders at all levels.
Delivered in person and online.

For leaders who know their voice matters

speaking

You’re already capable, experienced, and thoughtful.

But leadership today asks more than good ideas — it asks for clear communication, grounded presence, and the courage to speak when it matters.

Whether you’re articulating vision, navigating difficult conversations, leading meetings, or stepping into more visible speaking roles, how you use your voice shapes your impact.

The Clarity Lab is for professionals who want to:

  • speak with authority without becoming performative
  • communicate clearly in high-stakes moments
  • lead conversations with compassion and confidence
  • take the mic — and hold it — when it matters

This is not about being louder or more charismatic. It’s about becoming clearer, steadier, and more impactful — in your own voice.

Develop your skills in speaking, communication, and leadership

The Clarity Lab is a monthly membership for those looking to sharpen their speaking and leadership skills through consistent practice, expert coaching, and a supportive community.

Leadership takes practice

Leadership communication isn’t something you “fix.” It evolves as your role, responsibilities, and courage grow.

That’s why The Clarity Lab is designed as a place you can return to — month after month — to practice, reflect, and lead with increasing clarity.

Each month focuses on a leadership theme — such as visioning, compassionate leadership, influence, or courage — and explores how that theme shows up in real communication moments:

  • presentations and public speaking
  • leading meetings
  • giving and receiving feedback
  • setting boundaries and holding the line
  • interjecting with clarity and confidence

Members practice with the real conversations and situations they’re navigating at work and in leadership.

Over time, members build:

Vocal confidence and ease

Clarity of thinking and expression

The ability to lead conversations — not just participate in them

Confidence navigating conflict and feedback

A grounded leadership presence others can trust

These are skills that deepen with practice — and compound over time.

Past workshop participants have said:

From Shaky Voice to Confident Speaker

“Wow – what a fabulous experience. I loved the Clarity lab. It was such a great experience and I have grown so much through the learnings and practice. Before I signed up I was shaky and unsure and my voice never seemed to be heard well. Now I have grounding tools that help me prepare, find a calm energy, and speak with clarity and confidence. Not to mention many more skills that will get me in the right mindset for speaking confidently in my personal life and help me advance my career. I’m so excited to continue on this journey with The Clarity lab!”

– Dr. Erin Carlson (She/her)

Packed with Insights

“I can confidently say [The Clarity Lab is] one of the most dynamic and enriching learning experiences I’ve ever had. Each session is packed with insights—ranging from self-discovery and reflection to focused practice in public speaking and vocal expression. I’m truly grateful for the opportunity to meet Camilla and experience her incredible Clarity Lab program, and I hope it continues to inspire as many curious, open-hearted voices as possible.”

– Kaveh

Supportive Environment

“The Clarity Lab gave me a unique chance to explore new tools and nurture my speaking confidence in a very supportive environment.”

– Diego Quiroga

Using the Techniques at Work & in Life

“The program I took with Camilla introduced me to so many valuable public speaking techniques. Not only did I see significant growth in myself but I also saw each person in the class grow in their own way. It was truly fascinating to observe the transformation of the entire group. Camilla offers thoughtful and practical tips and creates a safe and supportive environment where everyone is encouraged to shine. I’ve found myself applying the techniques not only at work, but also in my personal life and relationships.

Speak with Impact

“I learned a lot about public speaking from taking the Clarity Lab with Camilla Burgess. I learned how to compose myself, how to speak with more impact like using pauses and emphasis on certain words. The opportunity to work and improve on our presentation with helpful tips every week was invaluable. She was always encouraging, supportive and helped me deal with the insecurities of speaking. I am grateful to have taken these sessions with Camilla and highly recommend her workshops to anyone interested in becoming a better public speaker.”

– Helen Luk

A Stand-Out Program

“When Camilla first offered The Clarity Lab, I was excited to be a part of what she was building. I’ve been lucky to experience Camilla’s workshops and coaching in the past — she is a joyful, (gently) challenging, and endlessly supportive coach and facilitator. The Clarity Lab did not disappoint. Each week brought dedicated time and structure for me to find new confidence in my voice, build specific skills, and connect with a supportive group of peers. The consistent weekly practice, supportive coaching, and mini lessons made this a stand-out program.”

– Lindsay Carlson

How it works:

The Clarity Lab is an ongoing training space and community for professionals who want to develop both their speaking skills and their leadership presence over time. The program offers a combination of in-person and online group coaching sessions, mini lessons, a community of supportive peers, and feedback on real-world challenges.

Each month includes 4 sessions: two in-person group sessions and two online group sessions (1.5 hours each)
Participants bring real material: a meeting they need to lead, a conversation they’re avoiding, a presentation they’re preparing, or a boundary they need to articulate.
Each session follows a consistent structure:

  • brief check-in
  • guided vocal warm-up (to support grounded presence)
  • a focused mini-lesson tied to the monthly leadership theme
  • structured practice with live coaching

Who it’s for:

The Clarity Lab is designed for:

  • professionals 30+
  • people in leadership roles — or preparing for greater responsibility
  • facilitators, managers, founders, and emerging leaders
  • people who speak regularly and want to speak with more impact

No performance or public speaking background required.

It’s especially valuable if you:

  • have strong ideas but sometimes hesitate to voice them
  • want to lead with clarity and compassion, even in difficult moments
  • are stepping into more visible leadership or influence
  • want ongoing practice, not a one-off workshop

Life changing!

“Thank you very much for playing an integral role in the success of my presentation last week. Your recommendations on script additions and flow, as well as physical exercises, made all the difference. There is no question that my delivery and the presentation itself would not have been nearly as good as it was because of your help.”

About us

Viva Voce Speech Arts Studio was founded by Camilla Burgess in 2012. We have helped hundreds of people locally and internationally become the leaders and speakers they wish to be.

We see time and again how mastering public speaking can elevate the impact of leaders and their organizations.

Fun + Learning = Big Growth

A philosophy that leads to success.

We believe that connection precedes learning and that when we play, we are in the state of “Social Engagement”, which is the same state we must be in to learn and communicate effectively.

That’s why our workshops and classes are always highly interactive, with games and connection activities. We keep our presentations brief, and include plenty of time for brainstorming, warming up together, and providing coaching, practice, and live feedback.

This approach encourages all participants to feel supported to take risks, cheer each other on, try new things, and grow.
